Features

The device adopts a refined design with a full glass front reminiscent of the original PS Vita (1000 series), and the build quality is very high. It features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080) IPS display with good color reproduction and clarity.

For controls, it uses ANBERNIC's traditional rubber membrane buttons and a D-pad. The analog stick, equipped with a Hall effect sensor, offers excellent drift resistance and has customizable RGB lights around it. Due to its passive cooling design without a cooling fan, some parts of the device may heat up to about 40°C under heavy load, but this is within acceptable limits.

Specifications:

SoC: Rockchip RK3576 (8-core)

RAM: 4GB LPDDR4X

Storage: 64GB eMMC (expandable via 2 MicroSD slots)

Display: 5.5-inch IPS touchscreen (1920 x 1080)

OS: Android 14 / Linux (dual-boot)

Battery: 5,000mAh (approximately 5 to 8 hours of operation)

Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2

I/O: Mini HDMI, USB-C (supports DisplayPort output), 3.5mm headphone jack

Pros
  • Excellent display quality: The 1080p resolution is very high for this class, with vibrant colors and sufficient brightness.
  • Convenience of dual-boot: Flexible use of Android and simple, plug-and-play suitable Linux can be tailored to needs.
  • Rich video output features: In addition to Mini HDMI, it also supports video output from USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode), making it easy to connect to external monitors.
  • Comfortable streaming experience: With Wi-Fi 6, there is very little decoding delay, providing excellent performance as a remote play device for PC games.
  • Ergonomic design: The moderate thickness and rounded shape make it comfortable to hold for long periods.
Cons
  • No Google Play Store: The standard Android OS does not include Google services, requiring APK sideloading for app installation.
  • Performance relative to price: The price point around $150 competes with products from competitors featuring more powerful SoCs and higher-end models from the same brand, raising concerns about cost performance.
  • Limitations of PS Vita emulation: Although the design is similar to the Vita, the performance limitations of the SoC result in very limited functionality for actual PS Vita titles.
Reviews
  • Among the community and users, the beauty of its appearance and especially the high-resolution performance of PSP titles (3x to 4x settings) are highly praised. However, there are also voices of confusion regarding the benchmark scores being not significantly different from previous models, despite the name 'Pro', and the lack of standard access to the Google Play Store. For users who enjoy expert-level customization, it seems to be regarded as a 'device worth tinkering with' due to the ability to choose from multiple OS options.
